Martin Whitfield MP has joined Labour colleagues at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in highlighting breast cancer awareness for the month of October.
Mr Whitfield, Stella Creasy MP, Susan Elan Jones MP and Lord Don Touhig all wore pink to help support and promote breast cancer awareness month.
Martin Whitfield MP said:
“Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer among women across Europe and women in some EU countries face real hurdles to access the information, care and support they need after diagnosis.
“It was a pleasure to be Wearing it Pink yesterday for Breast Cancer Awareness with Susan, Stella and Don, and I will continue to support efforts to promote awareness and improvements in care and support.”
