Martin Whitfield MP has visited East Lothian Council’s new Wallyford Primary School for a tour of the state-of-the-art facility.

The county’s MP joined Education, Chair Cllr Shamin Akhtar, and ward councillors, Cllr Colin Colin McGinn and Cllr Fiona Dugdale, on the visit and was highly impressed by the £18.9million new school.

Speaking after the visit, Mr Whitfield said:

“It was a great pleasure to visit the new Wallyford Primary School this morning with Fiona, Colin and Shamin. It is an amazing space for the pupils and teachers and I know they can’t wait to move in after half-term.

“East Lothian Council, Morrison Construction and everyone else involved in the project deserve great credit for delivering such a fantastic new school for this growing community.”
