A new film celebrating the fifth anniversary of a pioneering local men’s shed initiative has been praised by Martin Whitfield MP.

Supported by Age Scotland, Macmerry Men’s Shed made the eight and half minute long film to mark the anniversary and inform others about how it was set up and the difference it has made to members over the last five years.

Martin Whitfield MP said:

“I have had the pleasure of visiting Macmerry Men’s Shed and seeing for myself the camaraderie of the group, the excellence of their work and the difference it makes to the lives of those involved. It has been a real pioneer for the shed movement in Scotland and an inspiration to others.

“This wonderful film really captures the essence of what makes the group so special and why it has had such a positive impact for everyone who has been part of it over the last five years. I commend David and his team and Age Scotland for producing it.”

The film can be viewed on You Tube.
