17 to 21 June is #SmallCharityWeek and to help mark the week the Small Charities Coalition (SCC), a national membership organisation for 9,000 small charities and supporters, has launched the ‘Big Support Small’ campaign.

The campaign highlights that there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to charities. It will seek to showcase great examples of support between charities of different sizes, and encourage others to do the same.

Martin Whitfield is supporting the Big Support Small campaign and hopes it will help small local charities in East Lothian access additional support from bigger allies in the sector.

Speaking about his support for the campaign, Martin Whitfield MP said:

“We have many wonderful small charities across East Lothian working on a range of different sectors and providing essential services and support for local people and communities.

“I’m delighted to get behind the new Big Support Small campaign and hope it will help support and enhance the work of our local charities.”
