Martin Whitfield MP is urging local organisations and groups, especially schools, to get involved in this year’s UK Parliament Week (2-8 November).

UK Parliament Week is an annual UK-wide festival that engages people, especially young people, with Parliament and empowers them to find out more about how it works and how they can get involved.

There is no limit on how people take part with a huge range of events and activities set to take place across the UK, including debates or mock elections, guest speakers, quizzes or online events.

Martin Whitfield MP said:

“UK Parliament Week is getting bigger and better every year. Last year I was pleased to be invited to speak at a number of local schools in the run-up to and during the week.

“There are some fantastic resources available to help support events and I’m looking forward to participating in more local activity again this year.”
