Martin Whitfield MP has attended the annual reception for the launch of the Scottish Poppy Appeal at the Scotland Office in Whitehall to represent East Lothian and show his support for this year’s appeal.
Mr Whitfield joined parliamentary colleagues from across Scotland, including the Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, Lesley Laird MP, as well the party’s Shadow Defence Secretary, Nia Griffith MP.
Speaking after the reception, Martin Whitfield MP said:
“I was delighted to join parliamentary colleagues at the Scotland Office to help mark the launch of this year’s Scottish Poppy Appeal.
“Poppyscotland is a brilliant charity and I know that communities throughout East Lothian will again be working hard to support its fundraising appeal over the next few weeks.”
